Sunbeam Community & Developmental Services is a non-profit, multi-site, multi-faceted organization that is committed to serving children, youth, adults, and seniors living with complex developmental, intellectual, behavioural, and/or physical disabilities.

We are seeking a Management of Information Services (MIS) Coordinator to join our small and collaborative MIS team. This role supports the development, operation, and ongoing improvement of the organization’s information technology systems and services across multiple locations.

Position Overview

The MIS Coordinator plans and carries out a broad range of technical assignments related to systems, networks, cloud services, and end‑user technology. The role involves maintaining, monitoring, testing, and optimizing IT infrastructure; evaluating and implementing new tools and approaches; and defining technical requirements that support organizational needs.

The position is responsible for providing day‑to‑day technical support and assistance to staff, both in person and remotely, and for supporting agency hardware and software environments across all service locations. The MIS Coordinator contributes to system reliability, efficiency, and security by applying best practices in system administration, networking, data management, and access control, and by supporting documentation, training, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

    • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
    • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA and/or Microsoft), with experience in systems, networking, and cloud technologies
    • Experience working within Microsoft environments, including Azure, Entra ID, Exchange, Sentinel/Defender, OneDrive, and SharePoint
    • Strong knowledge of data networking principles, including VLANs, VPNs, wireless technologies, firewalling, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP routing
    • Experience supporting and administering Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 or newer (including Hyper V)
    • Experience with Linux and mobile operating systems (Android/iOS) considered an asset
    • Experience working with databases such as Microsoft SQL and MySQL considered an asset
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and related tools
    • Familiarity with the Ubiquiti UniFi platform considered an asset
    • Experience evaluating or implementing solutions that leverage AI tools considered an asset
    • Valid G driver’s licence, clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation, with travel required between approximately 25 service locations across Waterloo Region to Mississauga
